This will be my next project on the Indy Car side of building. Not just this static kit but a twin of it in slotcar form as well. This will be a tandem build and feature both cars being built.

This was Fabi and John Andretti right? John was in a blue car?
The Indianapolis International Airport has the Andretti car sitting in one of the terminals.

John came on board with Foster's sponsorship. Nice livery. I thought I'd heard Kevin K might be doing the race winning Porsche. I hope so.

I thought I'd heard Kevin K might be doing the race winning Porsche. No, it isn't your imagination. Kevin did say he wanted to do this car. mb2501.proboards.com/thread/5930/porsche-indy-carHi All, A big thank you goes out to everyone who purchased the Lola Formula 5000 kit. I am in the process as of right now getting more kits put together for a second run. I am surprised that as many kits sold for being a non Indy car. Again, a huge thank you to everyone who bought one. As far as the Porsche Indy car ( the Fosters Porsche), I have been kicking around the idea for a number of years about doing a kit. With the advent of 3-D technology, I plan on doing the Fosters car in 3-D with of course white metal for the suspension. I know that not everyone admires this car as much as I do, but sometimes I like to produce a kit simply because I love the subject matter. My Primus kit falls into that category. I will keep you posted on my projects. Thanks Kevin K. Jordan

As usual I have a folder in my Fotki of the March 89P and 90P Indy Car..this album turned out to be very controversial it contains some photos I found deep in the Internet that the photog's had never released to the public and some that were meant for advertising but not used. the photo owners contacted me and we negotiated permission based on my point that these are A} found in a public forum ie: internet B} for use as research for model car builders C] I never and never will use them to make $$ ... it was a very interesting deal and I learned a lot .. but enjoy them, use them for research and dont sell them!! LoL... public.fotki.com/pmodwrks/march-porsche-89p-1/ Chris

This was Fabi and John Andretti right? John was in a blue car? The Indianapolis International Airport has the Andretti car sitting in one of the terminals. In 1989 only Fabi ran with them. John was added the following year when the team expanded to 2 cars and then just that fast.....Porsche cancelled the program.

I am going to use two March 88 C chassis' to do this build. I have taken the tub in the background and cut the sides of the tub down to give it the profile we are looking for first of all. Both of the noses have been removed and will get the usual treatment. From this point forward these two will take a very different path to completion.

I have removed the kick ups from the rear bodywork on one of these chassis' and depending on the look....we may need to completely reconstruct the engine cover.

You have some interesting body work going on there....I love body work its by far my favorite part of model building. This is just a necessary evil of trying to get the body shapes down. This particular March was very low. The front of the car is where I need it to be but most everything else needs to be worked on.
