Ok I am a real newbie when it comes to 40's Indy cars but I have always liked this car. My question is this. I have a couple of GMP sprint car kits(vintage midget, and sprint car and modern sprint car). Could one craft a Pat Clancey 6 wheeler out of a combination of these kits? I am not sure of the differences in scale from a Sprint car and the 6 wheeler. Also are there any 1/18th scale rulers out there? I had one once(may still have it somewhere)for 1/25th scale. Again forgive the newbie questions.

The first thing would be to get a scale drawing of this car from Oldphotos (a member on this board). I have not seen a 1/18yh scale ruler but am sure they exist. I like to use a Modelcalc calulator for scale conversions, it comes with several programed scales and the ability to add your own custom scales. Anything can be built if you can imagine it!

I think I have found a donor for a proper nose. It on my GMP LSR car. Question is whether I can bring myself to cut it up. It would also provide some other pieces but still. I have 2 tires that would be about the right size, but would need 6. Lots to think about.
