Here's my 1/64 version of JR's Indy 500 ride. I used a Greenlight as the base, and with some work, got the decals to fit pretty well. I had to color-match the paint for the rear bumpers, front wing endplates, and cockpit surround. I used a piece of aluminum tubing crushed into an egg shape to punch out the black decals for the exaust surrounds, and tiny steel tubing of two sizes to punch out decals for the exausts themselves. I've been using this technique to replicate the fuel filler, using black and silver decal paper for quite some time, but this is my first attempt on the exaust. Thanks to Terry for inspiring me to dig out some old 1/64 NASCAR decals for the seatbelts, and to everyone else on this forum for motivating me to continually improve.

Looks great, that first photograph makes it look bigger than 1/64. Very impressive work.

When it looks bigger than 1/64 it means you did a great job! I say that because its way easier to make a bigger scale look good.

Also you can order the seat belts from Michael. He will make them in 1:64 scale.

I got my wings painted this past weekend. Too bad weather has been crappy. If it's sunny after work maybe I'll go snap a few pictures. The Viper GTS Blue Pearl from Testors is a dead on match for the Sherwin Williams equivalent we used on the car.
