Hi,
I'm glad I stumbled across this site! Classic open wheel race cars are a favorite modeling subject of mine. I recently retired and sold my classic sports car restoration business, (what a monster off my back!) so I now finally have some real time; when I haven't got a bunch of 'honeydos' to almost accomplish. I especially like the era between the late twenties and the 'dinosaur' roadster times. I have driven mid-engine race cars quite a bit back when their were no doctors to tell me not to do so.
I've driven small bore formula cars, sports cars, modifieds, pro 4 stock cars and have had a little time in a sprint car (non winged, thankfully). Wow! 650 HP driving 1200 pounds of car will get your attention!! I used to look askance at circle track cars. Then I tried some oval racing. It was every bit as challenging as the road racing I had done, only these guys were NOT afraid to "touch" you. I learned.
When folks ask me about my interests I immediately reply, "Trains, Planes. and Automobiles" Emphasis on the Automobiles.
I have the Etzel Miller 91 built and want to get a front drive to go with it. I also have the '20 Frontenac, the Kuzma, and the Indy roadster from him. These kits are a pleasure to build. Does anyone know where I can get similar quality kits?
I hope to learn a bunch from you guys and to have fun doing it. I think I will.

Great to have you here. The masters for Etzel kits were bought by Lance Sellers and American Racing Miniatures, all of whom are members of this forume and they have websites with their current offerings. We keep an up to date vendor list here: mb2501.proboards.com/thread/4/aftermarket-dealersJordan

Welcome Bill Harold Bradford has the Miller 91 Front Drive kit you are looking for. Kind of a bugger to build, but it looks good when you are done. Both BobbyC, and I did a WIP on it, so you can see it here. Glad to have you aboard, and looking forward to your work.

Hi Bill! Welcome to the board. Gary Doucette offers a number of resin kits you might be interested in. He sells through eBay. Look for "Oval Track Legends."

I'm not sure just where to put this question. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. I've been on American Racing Miniature's site, but I can't get this computer (even dumber than me) to highlight what I want, and I'd rather not disturb these guys from their daily work.
Some time ago, my "Crew Chief" dropped the case containing my painstakingly constructed Etzel's Miller rear drive and the Lockhart LSR car. The Blackhawk survived with just a tweak or two, but the front suspension and a few other parts of the 91 took it on the chin. Do they (American Racing Miniatures) sell just parts? I need a bunch. While the model is 'down', I'm making a number of improvements, such as the brake handle, hand crank support fitting, and am constructing a whole new front axle with the correct 'step' from silver soldered and polished stainless. I'm lucky enough to have the Dynasty book (I think the guys on this site must have bought out the entire first edition!) But, if I can't get any parts, I'd have to order a whole new kit, and that's OK, but then I'll just have another incomplete kit! I'd be happy to post the pics of what I've done, but I need some parts. Help!
