If I figured this here computer out...... am a fan of front engined indy roadsters especially 64-65 ( the wide tires ) and USAC 60's sprint cars especially the roadster sprinters like the Wacholz Ford #80 and Eldon Rasmussen's #88 and I hate wings on sprint cars. Also a big fan of the inboard hydroplanes especially the 7-litres from the '60s on.Had a couple copies of andy Granatelli's U.S.Auto Racing News from 1964 which covered everything from go-karts to Bonneville but mostly USAC, sure wish I had them now, does anyone remember that magazine?Mostly a fan of the obscure field fillers ;ike #77 Dayton Disc Brake Spl. and my second most favorite Indy car ever #62 Apache Airlines Spl. what a great website.

Welcome. The subject of Apache Airlines seems to have been brought up a few times here. Glad to have you here.

Welcome, glad you got square rooted on the computer. Check out Cal's Apache Air WIP. Speaking of hydros, computers and computer incompetence, 'stsld' sent me some photos of Eddie Sachs driving a unlimited hydro to post here. Needless to say I'm still working on scanning them. I hope to get them up this weekend as I'm reading "Computers for Neanderthals and Other Adults From the Stone Age".

Welcome to the board. Any fan of roadsters and non-wing sprint cars is OK by me. Speaking of "non-wing" sprint cars, I'm reminded of something sprint car driver Gordon Cole told me one time. He said, "There's no such thing as a non-wing sprint car. There's sprint cars and winged sprint cars." Amen!
