Can anyone tell me which yellow to use? I've got Testors 1214 Gloss Yellow, Model Master 28103 Daytona Yellow, Tamiya TS-47 Chrome Yellow, and Tamiya TS-16 Yellow. Are any of these correct, or at least close?

Thank you. The five minute wait was almost unbearable.

I'm working on the same car and used Tamiya PS 27 Fluroscent Yellow

That would work ok if you want to use a spray - it would more or less give the correct look - but the car was not actually fluorescent.

I thought I had read that on this forum but must be mistaken, Car too far along to correct.

Like I said, dayglo yellow is a passable alternative - it will still look great.

Just wondering but is the color on Villeneuve's car the same color as Newgarden's Dollar General car from 2012? I have a can of Valspar Primer+Paint that I thought was close but haven't had a chance to try it out due to stripping difficulties. I don't know what kind of paint is on the Indy 500 event cars but it is crazy resilient to Super Clean degreaser...

I use Rustolem Aircraft Remover and it comes right off.

Shoot, those Indy 500 event cars (2012) were the EASIEST to strip. I prefer the blue bottle (Kleen Strip) aircraft remover, but I've even quit using that unless its for a small part.
I use the 30 minute gallon cans of Kleen Strip paint stripper from Lowes, etc. It took the "paint" (don't think there was any paint, just tampo) off the TK 2013 Indy 500 winner in less than a minute, bare freakin metal. It was insane.
Just wash well, then soak in some Simple Green to deactivate any spots you might have missed and rinse. Use Rustoleum Self Etching primer and then maybe consider some grey Tamyia primer over that since it's a light color.
