I got Kevin's Lightning kit in the mail this week and have dug right in. It's a beautiful kit, absolutely immaculate and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't gotten one. This kit is well worth the money. I've started work on the Offenhauser and here's where I'm at so far. I'll try to keep this WIP updated as I go along. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions I'll try to answer them!   |

Thanks for the kind words! My feeling is kits were made to built and I can't stand an evening where I don't accomplish something, rather it be household chores, work or a model.
The best way to take care of both is to get in and get my hands dirty!

A model of Gutherie's Indy car is long over-due! She was a true barrier-breaker! I often wonder how Betty Skelton would have done if she had raced in a more enlightened time?

  I've got the wheels, tires, engine, and rear suspension completed on the Lightning. Everything so far has pretty much fallen into place. I'm in the process of painting the car itself. |

I am about to decal and I have one question, I don't see a black outline for the green in photos of the car, that said I don't have any close up shots of it.
Does anyone have any close up photos of the car that would confirm/not confirm this?
