Thanks for sharing, he did some of the more beautiful cars of the era. RIP.

He did some beauties. Didn't he also do Shelby's King Cobra Can-Am car? Another big Ford bust - just couldn't get Can-Am like Indy, Le Mans and F1. That was another beautiful car, if slow.
RIP. He had two of the top three on Racer's favorite race cars list. Not too shabby.

I love this from the Classic Lotus release:
"Len enjoyed an up and down relationship with Colin Chapman. They respected each other's abilities and Len was a strong character who had confidence in his 'talent and ability' and would not be intimidated."
Translated, I think that means he wouldn't be cowed by Chapman.

Had a friend who sat next to Len on an airplane several years ago. Interesting conversation (as my buddy was a huge Gurney fan and knew of Len Terry) He was flattered and spoke at length of his career.
You guys who frequent TrackForum must know that the "Eagle 104 Nostalgia Page" is my friend Paul. I don't think he even post's on TurdForum anymore.
Len was a super designer who was not all that interested in building cars to deadlines. He did it, and moved on.

A true loss. My favorite designer of the 1960's.
