On Autosport today there's a report that a group is trying to put together an American F1 entry for the 2010 season. The team will be called USF1. According to the report they plan build their own chassis in North Carolina. Here's the article- www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/73121 Sandy |

Best luck to them! ;D This is a huge undertaking to have a team not located in the EU. Let's hope they do better than the US IRL chasssis program  Jordan |

This is really exciting news! I really hope they have everything in place by 2010. I see Peter Windsor is going to be heading the team. He brings a wealth of experience to the table so that's one key point in their favor.

I have a better idea. Take that money and start 15 or 20 IRL teams. Then hire some young american drivers. The FIA and Bernie (the snake) don't want any part of the USA. Just my $.02

I'm with Craig. I don't have a lot of faith in the IRL but the young americans deserve better than what they're getting now, which is essentially nothing.

Maybe they can get M. Andretti to drive it......take your pick they'd all do equally as well in American made ****box.

If Marco is smart he will stay away from F1. Look at what they did to his Dad. Don"t get me wrong I'm an F1 fan and I have my ticket from every F1 race at Indy to prove it, but the powers in F1 are not interested in the USA. They got the biggest crowds at Indy and most of those people paid for their seats. It takes goverment money to afford the Max and Bernie show. I have issues with the IRL, but they are the only game in town. If we (open wheel fans) don't support it, all we will have is NASCAR and I can't stand the thought of that.
