I needed to get my good can of Tamiya Fluorescent red used up before going bad so I'm painting a few of my models that require flo paint all at once! I got this body off of ebay many moons ago.....it just came with the body, windscreen and exhaust and thats it...so it will be mostly a scratch build from now on! But that's part of the fun....the more challenging the more your proud or yourself after to you get it done. As you can see in this pic there is a test sheet done by a BAD can of Tamiya Fluorescent red which is basically just a semi bright red.

Looks like I can just retag some of mine as "Semi-Bright Red" Seriously though, nice looking paint on this one and the Novi. Jordan

I see what you mean about "glowing". I tested mine and it sure didn't glow like yours! On to the next can. Do you use a primer? If so, what do you use? Thanks.

I always use Tamiya White primer for a base on all of my paint jobs....

I also painted both this Turbine and Novi with 4 medium coats.....one hour apart from one and another.
But if you are doing a smoking cowboy car I'd recommend two light coats for more of an "orangey" shade.

Since its Labor day weekend and everyone is currently driving off in their 1975 Pace-Arrow Motorhomes. Things usually get really boring on here! But I will make sure that doesn't happen this weekend! So anyway, the Indycals are on Silent Sam and got the awesome Indycals/MP2 Turbine Resin tires for this!

Awesome Calvin! Is this one of Bill J's? This car is such a big hole in my (and others) collection. I moved so many times as a kid that my MPC 1/20th got lost somewhere between Illinois and California. One of my many regrets. Like Donna.... No, actually, I regret losing the Turbine more than losing Donna. :-) MJ

Yeah its one of Bill's. I got this one from someone on ebay about 2 years ago - just the body and windscreen.
