Fun WIP! Novi's are so popular that I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in these builds. If it helps, I have some pic from the IMHOF museum at Talladega of the restored car on the right, some on this page and some on the next one. s190.photobucket.com/user/indy1977tx/library/RANMF/2013/IMHOF?sort=9&page=2Ran a full 500 miles in Herk's Novi on Wii Legends last year, shouldn't have won it realistically but Wii Legends is much more game than sim. They did make it a handful to drive and rough on tires though Jordan

This should be a fun WIP thread. I have to admit, I am very jealous of your stash of Novis, very cool

When you get a good can of Tamiya Fluorescent red.......USE IT UP NOW AND FAST! Thats what I'm doing...painting a few of my projects before my can goes dull. Which this came out pretty darn good! Nice and glowing!

Thanks, Lance and Michael P. did a wonderful job on this.....along with everything else they do.
Its one of those cars that its hard not to pull it out when time is not on your side....eventhough I had tons to get done at that time its amazing how this car seems to keep on getting pulled out! Especially after it got that incredible paint job on it that the can of Tamiya did! Its kinda like candy - its hard not to touch it!
For anyone that has this car, really NEEDS to build it! Its just too good to let it sit on the dusty shelf! I know some of you work all day and are tired but when you pull this thing out you will gain a tremendous amount of ENGERY!

I've been working on my 1963 Novi Team today and doing research (Like usual) and I notice on " Tired Iron" the frame is yellow and it really stands out......I wonder how much yellow shows in the rear?

#56 is about halfway......The great Bobby Unser's car is freshly painted......and #75 Tired Iron is being primed right now. BTW Herk's car is painted TS-36 STP Green (for those that get my Indycar jokes - please hit like button if you actually get my jokes)

I got the decals on Uncle Bobby's car. Such a beautiful car! Too bad Rathmann had to go off and run Bobby into the wall!

May you please tell me who make those kits? Lance Sellers made them about 4 years ago as a one time offer.

If it wasn't for a white stripe on one and a black stripe on the other you couldn't tell them apart

The past few cars I've been trying out my new less risk way of gluing vac form windscreens and have had ZERO mess ups!!!!!!!! Now if I get paid enough I will tell you guys! Okay i'm not that greedy! Its simple.....cut out your screen and test fit it.....find the best starting spot to apply glue......get out your CA Glue and a dull used x acto knife......make a small puddle of CA glue on another table surface and use your dull x acto knife and dip it into the puddle and transfer the little drop of CA glue which is currently on the tip of your X acto knife and touch the tip to the bottom edge of your windscreen and let the thin CA glue suck into and in between the clear screen and the painted body.....let that set up for about 1 min until it stays stuck then the proceed around the bottom of the screen slowly adding a little bit of CA glue until you have complete leveled out windscreen. CA Glue is a very thin and powerful glue....I use it for a lot of things....but be very careful with it as it will eat your paint job. Its actually so "hot" when it sets up you can actually see the chemical air shimmers come off of it when it starts setting up. I call it the "CA lvin method" ™

There isn't a method of mounting windscreens that I can't mess up. I absolutely hate doing windscreens!! BTW The cars look fantastic
