I have finished two Tamiya 1/20 scale Lotus 78   As usual I couldn't build them out of the box. I had to modify them.   The #5 car of Mario Andretti is how it appeared in its first race in Argentina 1977. I had to modify the side pods and air scoop and the #6 car of Ronnie Peterson is the victorious car from South Africa 1978. I used a Transkit with a Getrag gearbox and new endplates for the wings on this.  The full story can be found in the Gigantic section of my homepage: baecklund.eu/scalemodels/home.html |

Guys Bare with me going back to this one but it is something relevant to what I want to get done.

For some reason I can't get the link working.
Can I ask where you picked up or how you made the airbox for the 1977 early season car? I want to do the Nilsson version from Brazil where he finished 5th but always figured I would have to scratch build it.
