Finished this one today. MA Scale Model's 1911 winner in 1/43. He makes a nice kit but it's not as crisp as Tameo or Formula. With a bit of finesse, it built up quite nicely. He has a great selection and even just came out with the '83 winner. Also, I can see his models being a great reference point to upscale from to make winning cars that have never been done yet in 1/25 scale. There, the seed has been planted. Thanks, Mike

Very nice work! The end result is very nice. I don't blame you for copying the museum one, it is the only version we are absolutely certain of the color LOL

I know some people think that the 1911 winner was actually almost orange but I have some shots of the car in 1946 and it was an old faded out yellow. So I actually believe the IMS Museum paint job is good enough. BTW your build looks fantastic!

To avoid anymore color debates, how about I just say it's modeled after Corky Coker's Wasp replica? The kit actually came with the numbers just like the photos from the day it won so it can be modeled 1 of 4 ways. 4 you may ask? The way it may been on race day, the museum "restored" version, Coker's replica, and get this, how about one done in a gray scale like the b&w photos? I have a sick mind.
