The friendly folks at Porsche AG discovered some loopholes in the rules for the 1958 Formula Two season. There was no real restrictions about bodywork, so Porsche modified some RSK Spyders into what were called "center steer" RSKs. The steering wheel was moved to the center, and the bodywork modified to make the car a single seater. Then they ran some races. This model depicts the RSK that Jean Behra drove in the F2 race at the German Grand Prix in 1958. He won. This started out as the Fisher RSK, which comes with big fins and rear wheel skirts. I removed the fins and the skirts to expose the rear wheels. The numbers are dry transfers. For 1959, F2 rules required open wheels. Terry

Very well done - it is always nice to get explanations on how these "cars" got to race in an open wheel series - lol
