Tire changed for 64, a bit wider and lower profile on the 64 tires. Markings also changed on the sidewalls.

Help! Are the 1963 roadster tires the same size as the 1964 roadster tires?. kip No, Kip. In 63 a few of the roadsters used the 15 in tires made for the Lotus team, and some used the older tires. In 64 all the tires were the wider profile. Michael has the 63 15 in tires, and Tom and Ed have the older Firestones. Calvin is working on the correct 64 tires. Craig

I wasn't really ready to release the 1964 tires yet but since the topic came up. I have few sets available on my website now......These are my best black tires yet. New Pressure casted black resin. No pin holes. No clean up. No painting required. sites.google.com/site/classicracingresins/parts-store

Calvin sometimes has a problem with colors, especially blue, but he has a firm grasp on customer service. When you hit the Paypal button, he is off to the Post Office. I think he has one of those air tube things.

Calvin, does your tire set come with the "Firestone" and the gold rings? If not, is Michael creating some for the tires?

No tire decal you'll have to get those from Michael. I've never test fitted them,(I will be soon) but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't.

Michaels' decals fit fine. A word of warning, however. Buy some extra sheets as getting that thin gold line on and lying flat is a bugger. I wrecked several wheels worth. I would also recommend cutting the circle into four or five segments for application. Calvin, I will post a picture this weekend. Love those wheels.

Here is my trial horse. The decals fit fine but application is not easy. For my next one I will cut the circle into smaller arcs. Might be easier to get a round ring. I think I would also clearcoat with semi-gloss instead of matte. The wheel is a dechromed AMT Watson front and is sitting loose in the tire--that's why it is off center. The tires are great Calvin. kip
