So is the car flat black but C/F? I like the cockpit upgrades, especially the steering wheel!

The body itself is flat black. Almost everything around it is C/F.
Trevor corrected me. What I thought were weight jackers, they are actually roll bar adjustment levers. The weight jackers according to Trevor are buttons on the steering wheel. Thanks Trevor! Great to have a tecnical guy on the site!

Mario used to joke about his roll bar controls, saying it was like sex, hard going in and soft coming out!!!!

I love this car so simply and mean looking in flat black. The Chevy Test car undertray would have worked perfect for this project. Its all C/F even the "fin". Can't wait to see more progress!

I wasn't happy with my steering wheel so I re-did it last night. Much happier.

Wow! You could probably imagine, with that impressive skill, one would request this year's Indy 500 Winner: RHR! I would!

Took a break from the carbon fiber nightmare and did my Oriol figure. I can't decide if Oriol is fastening his chin strap or choking himself? LOL

You are putting some very nice details in this one, this RLL team member is getting a treat on this one. Are you delivering this one at Mid-Ohio so you can get more inside access?

Hey Jordan. Not going to make Mid-Ohio this year. The team member was an "Indy only" member anyway and will not be there either to my knowledge. I got all the inside access at Indy the week before the race anyway. Incredible time.

That's a replica right there! Great detail work. Is the other side wheel nut color coded?

Thanks guys. Not sure Jordon as I don't have photos of the other wheels. Still investigating.

I'm sure you know, but I seem to always screw up the fact that the Red Indy 500's logos go on both sides of the right tires, but the white ones are on the left side tires.

Yes, red on right, white on left. As far as the wheel nuts, I am wondering if the left rear has white lines on the wheel nut since the right rear has red.

You're going to make me have to pay attention this weekend, aren't you? I think it varies from team to team. I don't recall our being any particular colors.

I believe when the small Firestone lettering was on the tires they were colored on the outboard tires but when they dumped the FIREHAWK that's when the went all white with 2 Firestone markings all around.

I've always heard the suspension pieces were steel & not CF. I've seen many bent wishbones but I think CF would break.

I've always heard the suspension pieces were steel & not CF. I've seen many bent wishbones but I think CF would break. I was similarly confused. Turns out the suspension is steel with nonstructural CF covers. I believe they hide the wheel teathers. I remember seeing the CF pattern on the last generation Dallara 1/24 fromHot wheels and thinking that was wrong but I guess they've had these CF covers for years now and I'm not sure when they started using them!?!? Yes Jordon I noticed that when looking at stevek51 photos. Covers hmm. Penske always plates theirs or polished.
