Here's my latest completion, Martin Brundle's Benetton B192 he campaigned in 1992. With Indycals' recent release of this set this car has been quite popular of late, with a couple incredible Michael Schumacher builds. However, no one's built his teammate Martin Brundle's car so I figured I would. Brundle ascended to Formula One after finishing a close second to Ayrton Senna in the 1983 Formula Three championship. He raced a few years for Tyrrell then went to sports car racing where he won the 1988 World Sportscar Championship and the 1990 24 Hours of LeMans. He returned to F1 in 1991, driving for Brabham. The team was a shadow of its former glory, in spite of that Brundle had several impressive runs. These runs earned him a ride as Michael Schumacher's teammate at Benetton. His tenure in the B192 was quite successful, he kept good pace with Schumacher and outran him on a few occasions. Brundle never stepped on the top step of the podium, but finished a strong second at Monza. He had a good run going in the Canadian GP when his transmission went out while he was running a close second to Gerhard Berger. This was Brundle's finest season, yet he wasn't retained by Benetton for 1993. He went on to race for Ligier and McLaren. He is currently a commentator on F1 broadcasts for the BBC. He was a very good driver who never managed to grab the final brass rung and win a Grand Prix race. I built this from the Tamiya kit using the Indycals decals, it went together with no troubles and I think it's one of the prettiest and most striking cars I've built. I've always liked Martin Brundle and I figured since Indycals released this set that the time was ripe to do his car. Thank you for looking and me know what you think!

Yeah its a great kit and fits good. Looks like you mastered it with flying colors.....or in this case United Colors of Benetton.

Nice build!
On a side note, I saw "Billy Bob" Brundle win an IROC race at Cleveland one year.

1992 was a hard year for anyone not driving a Williams, so good runs without a win can somewhat be forgiven . You did a very nice job on this one. Very cleanly built and even the yellow rings in the rims look good which is no small task. Thanks for sharing it! Jordan

Thank you for the kind words about the car, the yellow rings were a daunting prospect but Michael's decals make this easy.

Beautiful job in a neautiful car. But I'm sorry, if you let me say, why did you invert the sides of the uper plates of front wing?? Can't you correct that?
The rest of the car is amazing!
