Some guys have had success by placing the model in a pan of water, fully covered, and then freezing the pan.

Soak it in a pan. Place the wet model in a freezer bag, and let it freeze. As the water freezes, it expands, and pops the glue joins apart. The freezer bag keeps the popping parts in one place.

Or, you could put the car in a bath of Testors Easy Off(Not the oven cleaner!)over night. Wash it in warm soapy water afterwards and it should come right apart without the risk of damage.

I've heard the water works too. Nice to see you at the show. I'm also inquiring about a wing you said you might have at home in your passle of C-1 parts. Let me know. I'll be down that way the second weekend in July for a birthday party, so I could get it then.
