This is the Precision Miniatures kit from the late '70s. Finally got it done - the most insanely difficult model I've ever built. Beautiful castings but metal is incredibly soft. Plus I was a masochist and added all the engine detail you see. Now I am learning Braille! Hope the pics show up - I inserted a link to my Fotki album. Great looking work! Just an incredible amount of detail, especially considering the small scale.

Wow!! I thought you had a really big hand and this was in 1/25 scale! I just finished some 1/43 and can't imagine wiring and getting the detail to look like you did with this! Beautiful build, cool car!

Thanks all...appreciate the kind words. Not sure if I have the stomach (or eyes) for another one of these! I have several of the other PM Indycar kits and they all look insanely tough to build - like this one. However, maybe the second time around will be easier. As they say, if it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger!
