Been working on a new project. Built the rear engine cowling. Close to finishing the front spoiler set up and radiator. Got the radiator lines ran. Still have some work to do on the front assembly. Don't like to call this a wip cause' I am so slow!! The rear wing is a Indycals 3D McLaren. I am going to have to cut it up a little and make it a dual element with Larger end plates. Kevin

Nice work on a truly weird car. The tub is basically a 70 Eagle, and if anyone has one of these bodies, I would be very interested in a buy or trade.

Yes, this quite cool, a scratch build or the beginning of a future kit?

Thanks Guys, Well my first try at trying to cut the 3d printed wing was a learning experience. It is very brittle and as I tried to cut it slowly with an xacto blade the first one almost cracked away. I got better as it went and with the third I started using the back of the blade which worked better. I am going to have to fill and shape as I don't want to loose any more width. Kevin

Great work, Kevin. It is one of those odd machines that makes it so interesting.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with the 3d printed materials, that will be helpful to many as the technology comes into the hobby more and more.

Well I finished the wing and learned as I went. Had it done once and dropped it showing it to the wife which broke both end plates. I made new ones out of styrene and seemed to work out ok. I removed the bottom of the center dividers. I hope its close enough to pass. Kevin

As I posted on the other site, what a butt ugly, but wonderful car. Swede seems as popular today as he was back then. MJ

The hight is slightly high and that diameter of the rod is one size too big .....I hate to say it, but I'd redo it or it will bother you forever if you dont.....But if it wasn't too big what you have really looks good.
Just giving you my honest opinion to help you get the best result.
Like I've said before, honest opinions don't hurt our feelings, inaccurate models do!

I feel the roll bar is the correct size, the down tube and hardware are one size too big. If you look at some pics he runs a fairly large diameter roll bar. I have not set the height yet but it will be lower. I have some smaller hardware coming from RB Motion and will try again. Thanks for your honesty. Kevin

Yeah the down tube is one size too big (That's what I meant to say) The hoop its self is right.

Wow, Kevin. that looks like a real bolt. Unbelievable. How did you do that? Don't have any idea about the right size tubing or hardware, but the workmanship is fantastic!!
