http://i429.photobucket.com/albums/qq15/OldCal/P1010438-1.jpgTo answer an e-mail I got...Yes, I have built more modern cars. The AMT kits of the late 1980's were pretty good, better than the Monogram kits. Here is Foyt's car and the 1987 500 Winner of Al Unser. I still call these cars, "Klingon War-Cruisers" Best to you Russ

Very nice. I've been meaning to do that Foyt one myself.

I got a e-mail asking for for a few more pictures and details. This is the AMT Andretti Lola, painted with Testors Classic Black enamel paint, with Speedway Graphics decals. I know Mike does decals for this car and his are more likely better, this was all that was available at the time...1989. Best to you! Russ

I need those decals REAL BAD! Along with the ones I missed to do his '93 car using the Tamiya 1/20th scale kit. I got to building it and when I went to order the decals they had just been pulled. I talked (email) with Michael and it was a problem with the orange. He had to use a non ALPS cartridge and it kept breaking he said. I cannot blame Michael at all.
I really wish that we could get those! The one you did, Russ, and the '93 *last car* are really the only two left that I cannot build right now of all the A.J. cars I really want to do.

Man, those are nice. I, too regret that I couldn't get either the Tamiya or the AMY Foyt decals. Such is life, I guess.
