A bit of progress on my latest build. Chassis done and waiting on body panels...

The mesh, the hoses, wire, and other great detail take a lot of time to pick them all out. Beautiful work, Mark!

This is my first Revell 1/12 kit and, as amazing as it seems, all the detail you see came in the box!

Beautiful, that engine is one of those that you could display all by itself! Always loved the 312T!

Here's a better shot of just the engine:

So my 1/12 Protar kits ARE buildable! What a relief! I built the Tamiya 312T a LOOOONNG time ago, it was nice but I like that Protar (Revell re-box) did more hidden detail than Tamiya. Yours is looking real nice, please keep us posted on progress.

The chassis is complete! I have the cowl almost finished and should have the build complete (except a bit of touch-up) by tomorrow night.

Nice to make these kits a bit of honour: they are much better than people use to say, as this nice build shows. Really good. May I suggest putting the tyres on a dremel and sanding them a bit, the model will thank it ;-) Great anyway!!

Nice job on this one, I always like the look of these huge 70s air scoops!

Love it, looks great! Nothing else looked like the 312T that I could remember from that era and it was a car that I loved for its design and livery. Tough to put the cowling/air scoop section over that beautiful engine you built!

Very nice Mark!
Just out of curiosity, what prompted you to go with Revell vs Tamiya?

Very nice Mark! Just out of curiosity, what prompted you to go with Revell vs Tamiya? Price. This one came really cheap. Fit is a bit dodgy and the cowl was warped, but the detail is quite nice.
