Have had the Red Bull Tamiya kit now going on two years waiting for the TS 89. Is the paint EVER going to be released here in the states? Should I just go with the Testors Blue Pearl? Not a big fan of Testor sprays and unfortunately not of Tamiya these days.

Painting a Red Bull F1 car has been on my mind lately as well. Just picked up a !/24th scalr Revell RB8 after seening Flemming's build on F1M and the way he painted his model. www.f1m.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21443Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to go with his method or the Testors that you suggest. Personally, I really like the Testors laquers and since Tamiya no longer sells their clear in the USA, I've had to switch to the Testors Gloss clear. Paul Erlendson

Just picked up the Tamiya RB6 kit at the Chicago Ferrari swap meet Saturday and have been combing the net for solutions as well. Here is a build that uses Testor's GTS Pearl Blue: mb2501.proboards.com/thread/4930/tamaiya-rb6Doesn't look dark enough. I've read of people using Tamiya Clear over Testors laquer. I'm leaning towards trying Clear Blue over GTS Pearl Blue I can't stand oversized metallic particles on models and if it comes to it, will gladly go straight blue if I have to. Life has to go on... I'm not going to get too wound up over this. Tom

Maybe I am way off here, but I always thought that the paint on the Red Bull F-1 cars was that dark blue/dark red flip flop paint. Depends on the way the light hits the car it either looks dark blue or has some red look also.
I know House of Color makes a paint in this color, I painted a Jeff Gordon Superman scheme with that color ant it looks exactly like the Red Bull F-1 cars from the last few years.

I just picked up a can of TS-89 yesterday at my local Hobbytown. You might have to have your local hobby shop order it, but it's finally available in the USA

If anyone needs TS89 (or most any other TS paint), I can get them from my distributor. I need to buy at least 3 of any single color but if I can get at least three people interested, that won't be a problem.

My distributor has 9 cans and I have orders for 5 already, so the min quantity is covered, feel free to request single cans. MSRP is $9.25.

I has sprayed my Red Bull RB6 with Tamiya, (TS89) on three times on last year, and I still keep it on box on shelf for not ready build yet. I brought my three Tamiya TS89 aerosols and left one aerosol. I brought it from Model Shop in Runcorn, Cheshire, UK. About 5.99 GBP
