I tried to start this last night, but was a bit too hazy...this is for you Russ...  but I'm more awake (I think...) I can't upload the nose pix for some reason, but I spliced the AMT Lotus nose tip onto the IMC cockpit shroud... (insert photo) I knew the Chevy would need a subframe to carry it, so I cut the rear monocoque off and capped the forward chassis off...   the front suspension needed new rocker arms and they were cut from plastic sheet... [img src="http:  //images14.fotki.com/v218/photos/2/1465922/9735401/DSCF7110-vi.jpg" alt=" "] the Chevy was from an AMT Nova and the transaxle was a resin unit from Rasputin...  the lower rear suspension and uprights are an MPC Eagle Mk5 set-up...  my solder exhaust works reasonably well...  coming along nicely. It's nice to be the first to fill-in this new home for F5000. Patrick |

Hahhahahaa, Jordan likes jigs! Nice work, Patrick. I started a Lotus-based F5000 car about 35 years ago, not sure I still have it! Had no skills or references at the time so it went into a box. With Michael's decals available now, I should try to find it, I remember having a couple of engines and lots of extra parts with it.

A few years back I saw Linda at the Old Timers dinner. Yes, she looks a lot older from the picture above but I still would not kick her out of bed for eating crackers...

What I was thinking was a compliment too. I always admired her memory, among other things. When I saw that photo, the first thing I thought was, Damn, Linda sure had a great set of memories. Or something like that.

Here we are trying to catch up after having guests for 2 weeks (how dare my building get behind?). I'm behind in posting photos, too.  shortly after that everything came apart and re-adjusted...notice those Canadian flags for Trevor!  the front wing struts were epoxied into place because glue just wont't do...  I start to glue everything back together today, pix later.  I'm waiting on the DMC decals to arrive to finish the decaling. Patrick |

Because Calvin asked...  I received the DMC decals today so I had fun adding decals to this racer and adding other parts when appropriate...  an outside water line...  I tried to add the Lotus to the looks, a bit rough...  another dry assembly...  getting close and a view of my newest gem...  Phew! Patrick |

Lotus is so cool!! Those pre Lola 330 F5000 were sure a varied lot weren't they?
And another red car- probably my fave Fazzaz F-1. No aero or sponser distractions. One of the last like that. And those 12 intakes and white exhausts-ooh la la. Shades of Grand Prix (the movie).

I had to add some brass rod because the glue points for the engine bay subframe were not strong enough...I epoxied my brass rods after painting them flat white...  Finished and crossing the finishing line...   those mirrors are now glued on...   I may do this car over someday and I'll do a better job. Better decals for one. Patrick |
