With the recent uptick in interest in F5000, we decided to add a dedicated section of the forum to this historic type of open wheel racing. Thanks to John (2lapsdown) for the idea!
On the main page, you will find it just under the F1 section and it also include the miscellaneous open wheel section that used to be under "Other Indy Models".
We hope you guys enjoy it. Thanks for all the interest in F5000 and we hope this makes it easier for builders, suppliers, and enthusiast to share their love of this series.

Thank you! I'm sure we will be seeing Patrick, Kevin K., and even myself doing WIP's on this.  and once Mr. 2lapsdown-John gets a camera I'm sure he'll be posting many WIP's in this section as well! |

Just joined the site, am glad there is this section, already have a handful of questions after seeing some of the great conversions of the 1/18 Racing Collectibles plus getting ready to build Kevin's Lola kit! I saw an F5000 race at Road America in 1975(I was 15) when my dad took my family to the race. Instantly thought the Lola's were some of the coolest race cars I had seen, but until recently no models or diecasts! Now, I have some in 1/43, 1/18 and soon in 1/25! A great time for collecting!

Used to go to Road America and watch these ground pounders. Canada corner into turn 12 breath taking!!! Always loved the UOP Shadows with Folmer and Oliver at the helm. Has anyone built one of these? Does anyone have plans to make these, if so I'm in for two. jwrass
