This is why I love this place. I bought a big package with many models and decals in it last year off of ebay and it had the decals in it. Once finished I would love to share it with Todd. Thanks everyone!

I hate to bring this up, but didn't Bettenhausen use Penskes? That pic doesn't look like a Lola to me. MJ

I don't recall that car having dayglo red. I remember it as regular red.

You're right it is a Penske. The decals I have say 90-100 speedway graphics, so I'm guessing the for his 1990 lola. I'm I correct in using the T-8800 kit with the wing from a T-8900? If that's the case it looks more regular red then dayglo.

So you are the one that bought that lot. I remember that one, it had a lot of great stuff in it but got too rich for me!! IIRC there were only a few things that I really wanted and the rest I was going to have to resell. Glad to see you building an Amax car, those were always nice looking cars. In 1993, Bettenhausen ran a current year Penske which was unusual because when they ran Penskes, they typically ran a one year-old chassis. But you are right, if they are for the 1990 car then that is a Lola/Buick combo (I had to look it up) but not sure what year the chassis was off hand. Good thing with Lolas is the 88 and 89 are in plastic and the 90 is a fairly easy to obtain resin body. As far as color, I'd match the red on the decals as it makes the final result look more cohesive. Just my 2 cents, as I always say, it is a hobby and we all can build how we want. You don't have to build to make anyone else happy. If you want it day-glo, more power to ya!! Jordan

I agree - I'd match the color of the decal regardless. But the 1993 AMAX cars were without a doubt Day Glo. I'm 100% sure, I remember it well and it was a great paint scheme. I was a college kid and stooge in 1993 and lived in the garage that year. I like the 1994 and 1995 schemes as well when they went with blue, but the Day Glo color remained. This is the only pic I can find of the 94/95 car where you can kind of tell it's Day Glo....
