Peter was my favorite driver. I always felt that even though he drove against and defeated some of the best drivers of his era, he was really racing against the privileged rich kid label the press hung on him. To this day I don't think he's gotten the respect he deserves. One of my favorite memories is of Peter stealing the pole from Donohue in 71. Mark was still doing his interview with Tom Carnegie when Peter eclipsed his time. MJ, read his autobiography, Speed with Style, very enlightening.

Forty years..... Really? I was a young kid when I read of his death.
I too had a great love for him as well as Swede Savage.

John Although I am too young to remember his driving days, I agree with you.

I read Speed with Style end of last year (2013). I found it very interesting as well. How many drivers write a book during a year driving.
