You might ask, why did Stu build this lesser known Viceroy F5000 car? Here's the story. About two years ago or so I wrote the F5000 Registry asking a question about Mario's F5000 car. Long story short that lead me to meeting and building replica's for both the previous owner and current owner of the real car. Then, one day out of the blue last November, I get an email from a man asking me if I was interested in building a replica for him. The F5000 Registry had passed my email question to him and he had taken this long to reply to me. The man that emailed me was none other than Leonard Miller. President of BAR or Black American Racers. Mr. Miller asked me if I was interested in building a replica of his car driven by black american race car driver Benny Scott. How could I say no? Below are pictures of Benny Scott's car in 1/18th scale. I used a donor car from a company called Classic Karlectibles and the wonderful decals were Michael at Indycals. Stu

That is one fantastic build! I had always thought about doing this car with one of the diecast available but I was to chicken sh*t to cut up a car of this value. Awesome job!!!!! Kevin K.

Thanks guys. The donor car was the red #64 Lola that only has the short air box that fits on top of the injection stacks. The only mods I had to do was to make a rubber mold of the white Alan Jones Lola air box, cut away the rear wheel flares and add flat plastic sheet. Stu
