I'm glad to see Dale Jr. win tonight. The racing up front was the most professional in years. ...and it actually went 500 miles! WOW! Jr. can say he is a true 2 time 500 winner. I also find it amusing how if a Jimmie Johnson or Kyle Busch wins, the crowd leaves right away, but when Dale Jr. wins they all stay a celebrate Now I'm going to go look at the Nascar Modeling forum to see how many people are asking for 2014 Dale jr. decals.

He drove a great race, and most importantly, it did't go into overtime, so it is a legitimate Daytona 500 win. (To this day I refuse to acknowledge Jamie McMurray as a Daytona 500 winner since he didn't lead a single lap of the 500 miles).
Having sat through many rain delays and postponements, I really felt for the fans, but fortunately they were rewarded with a good race.
BTW, did anybody else notice that the car who triggered each of those first three big accidents, got away unharmed?
