Heller's Matra MS5 in F3 form. Yes, RED! This is Rosso's (aka GEKI's)car. He won the Italian F3 Championships with this cute little bugger... I'll have to replace that "I" before Trevor sees it!! this is a heap of fun finding a Matra in a different color. I know of the Fr. blue, white and a grey car. One thing I hate is lining up number circles and numbers that are cut in half...grrrrrrrrrrrr! Patrick

While my primary interest is Indycars, I cannot tell you how much I respect your appreciation for the history of motorsports. Even the most obscure cars have a story to tell! Moto bene!

Looks great already. What kind of 4 cylinder powers this one?

This one has a push rod Ford 105E with a single throat Weber (It's the rules!). I had a 105E with 40 DCOE Webers in my Lotus. As an aside, I used a Sports Car Graphic issue to rebuild my Webers as I didn't know anything about them! I've found out that the F2 engine version, also a 105E base, were called "Screemers". Gotta love 'um.

Never knew Matra family had so many relatives. Thanks for the lesson, Teach.

The 105E lays over in the engine bay and the single throat Weber will poke out the side... Patrick

Working on too many cars at once leads to some small errors... DUH... Patrick

Well, it finally omes to the end of this saga, well, it still awaits the proper wheels, but good enough to close this long build... All of this story and fun would not have been possible without a French modeling engineer, Philippe de Lespinay. Thanks Philippe! Patrick PS: I'm watching the Oscars that's why.
