I am a new member to the site and I am blown away!!!!I am 58 years young and after a 20 some year hiatus I am back at the bench!!! I am a semi retired Mech Engineer, However I have had a side line business Custom Painting on a 1/1 scale for some 40 years. I perform Freehand Pinstriping & lettering, full on Kadies, Pearls, Airbrush, also full on Custom sheet metal fab. I have had my work in many National Publications and am recognized by my peers (titans of the industry) as a top flight craftsman.
I mention this not to brag, I do this in an effort to qualify myself as someone who can contribute in these areas, paint and preparation is no different on a smaller scale than it is on 1/1. My goal is to give back with some tips, tricks etc. I have been blessed to work with so many greats of the Custom Paint fraternity who have taught me so much!!!!! I would like to share any of this information as I know I will be leaning on all of you for your expertise.
