I started on this many months ago....I thought I should get the WIP up before its too late for the May 1st deadline. So many of these have been built and shown on forums that no one really gets too excited about them...with that said here her is another Tamiya MP4/5b!    |

I like it and it is significant for being the car for Ayrton's second championship. Plus, it is funny that McLaren took Ferrari's numbers for the season to show their displeasure LOL

Well my Senna build is done. I would have took a pic of the engine, but it took me forever to get the darn body work on! I didn't feel like taking it back off! Besides its a box stock build anyway. Nothing exciting at all! Just a boring ol' Tamiya Mclaren. I used Tamiya sprays, and the decals are Hong Kong Specials   Hey Jordan! Do you like my Shell Logos? (FYI Jordan loves Shell logos, I do as well  ) |

I like Shell logos too. Nice build - one of my favorite McLarens of the Ron Dennis/smoking cowboy era.

Oh yeah, I like it!! Surprised you didn't use the new IndyCals dayglo offerings. Very nice work and it didn't take long either.... it's like you are a machine LOL

Beautiful Calvin! As usual. :-)
Man, I love the cars from that era. To me, that was the last of the beautiful F1 cars. Then they started raising the nose and all forms of ugly aero gradually took over.

I was never much of an F1 guy. I ranked it 4th next to Indycars, NASCAR, and NHRA. Probably because of the scale and lack of seeing it much on TV growing up. However, since I saw RUSH, I now have the Mclaren and Ferrari ready to be built. Kind of like what got me building stock cars after seeing Days of Thunder when I was 13. On that note, seeing your finished model and watching the Senna documentary have also sparked my wanting to build this car also. Really great work (again).
