Do any of you "diehards" remember KG models..... They were perhaps the worst resin/vacform ever. Sure it gave you a starting point if you ever received your model. KG had the following kits as I recall.
1922 Miller - body was vacform with 'exploding resin parts' and white metal lumps of other various parts that are supposed to be an engine. 1977 Coyote - finally got one in an ebay deal as part of a bunch of other kits. I never did receive the one I ordered. 1983 March - never have seen one in person. 1980 Chapparal - was so bad paint would never adhere to the resin...it was like it never cured.
Any others I'm missing?

Ken Glenn was his name and as I remember he got into some trouble by not delivering models after money was sent. He also did the Bellanger Spl. I still have the March and Chapparal (unbuilt) It took work but they could turn out OK.

I have seen the '83 March on eBay. I had an '83 March vacuform but I didn't know if it was a Bill Gebhard or someone else. Traded it to a board member for some '84 Marches that I am pretty sure are Bill Gebhard vacuform bodies.

I'm the "lucky" owner of a '77 Coyote, a Chaparral & two of the March kits! Offers, anyone? I'll probably try to build one of the Marches someday, now that my scratchbuilding skills are improved. I also have an original KG catalog somewhere around here, I'll have to dig it out & see if we've missed any.

Brian...
At least you got your kits...I ordered from Ken Glen a long time ago...A 77 Coyote...It never came. From the ones I've seen, I was lucky. It is junk! So is Ken Glen if you ask me....I heard he was got in a great deal of legal trouble for not filling orders. Serves him right, I guess.
Best to you

I never received my Coyote either. I forgot about the Belanger I've got that one as well...it is cast in white metal.
I actually had a confrontation with him at an Indy Memoriblia show many years ago. He was selling some of his vacuum-crap and I had not received mine.

I think he was accused of mail fraud at one point.

I have the Coyote and trust me, you guys did not miss anything. It is half built and has been sitting in a cigar box for about 20 years. I'll try to finish it someday, but it won't be much. At least I got mine. Reminds me of a magazine I found years ago called Motor Racing Minatures or something like that. I found 2 or 3 issues at a hobby shop and promptly subscribed, never got a thing. Hobbies and business sometimes just don't mix

Hey Jordan... I was the one you traded with. I have a couple of these. I won an 83 winner on ebay...buy the time it arrived to me the tub section was in a couple of pieces.(still trying to fix) I originally order a 80 winner from KG and never recieved it. After a long time I started sending him letters that if I didn't recieve I would contact the proper people. Then one day one arrive. About 3 weeks later a second one came. The interesting thing is one came from Georgia where his advertising address was listed. The second had a different address from a totally different state. That was about the time I had heard he was being sought fro mail fruad for not sending the kits that people ordered. At that point I kept them both. Too bad niether one was very good. Thats to Bill J. I have a good 80 winner. The only good part about the kits I did get was there was a scale white metal Borg Warner trophy that wasn't too bad. Still have them. the kits on the other hand are somewhere in my spare parts bin.

I remembered it was you Eric but I didn't want to disclose anything in case you didn't want it known - no biggie. BTW, I had an excellent transaction with Eric - he's aces to deal with ;D
A scale Borg Warner you say? Hmm, that's something that I have wanted for a long time. Too bad no one still makes those (or those Revell Indy Display cases)!
