he passed away today at age 90.
You can probably count on one hand the number of people that have had the impact on motorsports that he has.

RIP Andy. I also just saw that Michael Schumaker was badly hurt in a ski accident.

A true legend and a great character. He was part of what makes the Indy 500 what it is.

RIP Andy. I also just saw that Michael Schumaker was badly hurt in a ski accident. Yes, he had to have brain surgery. I've seen two accounts, one saying he was conscious but disoriented and another said he was in a coma when he arrived at the hospital, which sounds all-too much like a Mark Donohue situation  |

A great loss. I remember seeing him in his wheelchair at the Indy Memorabilia shows. Everyone parted like the Red Sea when Andy came bye. He will be missed.
