I was just looking at part 11 of 16 on Youtube. I had forgotten about another clear indicator that it's fluorescent. On raceday there was non-flo duct tape on either side of the shock cover that really stands out from the rest of the car. And there's a Legends of the Brickyard from Doctor Indy where they show the cars rolling away, at about 5:00 in. Goodyear's car matches Luyendyk's Glidden car in color on camera.

Don't worry about it, Stu. It looks great. We all seem to get too involved with color on everyones builds. At the end of the day, only one person has to be happy with any build, the builder. You, my friend are quite the builder. Take Care Craig

I would never want any of my comments to be taken as criticism, merely observations. That's a hallmark of this forum. I don't think I've ever read a comment on here that was openly critical of someone's work. And Stu, you know we love you

For you Stan Fox fans, you might find it interesting to know that in late 1995, I spent two days salvaging the Fox car carcass. Most of the viable parts found their way onto Arie's 1996 record breaking car at Indy. That car was trashed but there were a few expensive gems to be found. At the time, the CART teams all agreed not to sell IRL teams any parts. Of course, money talked and we eventually got was was needed. Fox's car was invaluable in getting the thing off the ground, so to speak.

Steve, thanks for that. I love back stories. I wish someone would write a book about the behind the scenes dealings that go on in racing. Of course they'd do it at their own peril. I've always enjoyed your insights and the way you shed light on certain events.

I've had the pleasure of reading an excerpt and its going to be great. Lots of crew guys from that time interviewed.

Who did these decals by the way? I'd like to convert a 1/43 Minichamps to this car. Thanks!

I missed this thread earlier, but reading it this morning, I can only suggest to Stu that the next time you're asked what color you car is, just say "black, yellow, and red". Looks good to me, but you've not answered the question of the decals source (on the internet won't do). --Frank

Hi Guys. Sorry but I have been on vacation and did not return until early morning today. Gary at GWS decals did them for me in 1/18th scale.
I re-did the car in Floro yellow last year but did not post a photo. I will find it and post it Monday.

Thanks Stu! I just sent Gary an email. I have been thinking about doing a 1/43 Stan Fox Delta from 1995 (I like it even more than the 1996 Indy winner). So I may do the artwork and then if he can re-size for different scales if anyone else is interested. The cars looks great by the way! Florescent or not. Here's a pic I took of Stan's car in the pits in 1995. I think this is pole day. Anyway, he was my pick to win the 1995 race, people don't know how fast that car was, crushing that happened.

Great looking job, Stu. Is this one yours?
When the full satellite broadcast was recently uploaded to YouTube for this race I watch it again. I was surprised how different the yellow Menards car was to this one. Makes sense though, I have a picture of the start and this car's nose just glowed in the picture. One of my favorite racing pics that I have taken.

Thanks guys. Actually, the car was repainted shortly after all the talk about the whether the car was actually floro or just bright yellow. Although the customer and I didn't discuss it before hand and I made my best guess, he decided he wouldn't be happy knowing that I didn't use floro paint. So, I bit the bullet and re-did the car for him. I lost my shirt on this one for sure but in the end I am happier and so was he. Live and learn!

As promised. This is the re-done car in Floro yellow. Could it be possible, that I could send you my Goodyear model to have that repainted properly? That would be neat if possible. And to add the onboard camera too would be sweet
