In the conversations of Dario's Houston wreck, there were multiple comments how the wreck reminded the poster of Jeff Krosnoff's fatal wreck. Found this pretty nice write-up saved on Max Papis' website. I think this is the article I was trying to find (since the original website Racer or Speed no longer has it). maxpapis.com/wp-content/uploads/Jeff-Stay-Hungry.pdfLooks like he could have been a member of our open wheel modeling community if he'd survived. Although not long for this world, Jeff was a hell of a nice guy and racecar driver. At the 1996 US500 Jeff took time to talk to me and my dad as he had just signed MCI and was pumped about the future. I really would like to build his rookie car. Dario's crash reminded me so much of that Toronto crash that took Jeff and Gary but thank god it was not.

I still remember that crash in my head for how violent it was. Thanks for posting that PDF as it gave me a chance to read more about the man I only ever knew about to this point as having died young. But, it sounds like he lived a full and happy life to that point. Imagine what could have been, but at the same time, consider all the cool things he got to do and drive. Who else in a Cart PPG car could say they also were able to drive a Toyota at Le Mans and almost win or drive mini-trucks on road courses?

Rather than put this reply in the diecast section, I thought I would included it with this thread. I started this build of Jeff's rookie car several years ago and never finished it. At the time I wasn't happy with the paint and was going to re-do it but other projects got in the way. I will re-do it in time as a tribute car.

Looks great and I'm surprised to see that anyone did these decals. Can't wait to see you work on it again as it will be a great tribute.

I did the decals myself Jordon. Water slide off an Inkjet printer. The white decals on the red areas have a red background.
