Since Michael of Indycals has produced the decals for this car, how many of you besides myself would like to see someone produce a kit of this car?

Not to talk out of school.....
BUT, I understand that a 1981 body is not far from being completed for us to build. The one I'd like to see is the last American Chassis to win a 5600, the 1982 Wildcat that Johncock drove. From what I understand, the 1981 is coming.
Best to you
Russ

A Wildcat would be awesome!! I remember listening to that race on the radio. My buddy said during the last dramatic laps, "Who's going to win?" I said, "Gordy, he's got bigger b...s" Of course he won but in hindsite I'm not sure he was any braver than Rick. Thanks for the update.

Russ,
Who is doing the 81 winner ? Bill or Lance ? or is it someone else. the 81 thru 84 winners would fill a big gap in all of our collections. Like most of us have said before. If it is done get it while you can, you never know when it will not be avaliable again. I for one will be getting one.

I will buy at least 1 '81 car and would entertain buying a 2nd so I could actually build a Bobby car - lol

The early '80s were my "formative years" of being an Indy fan, so I am very excited about the possibility of getting some of these kits. I have Bill's '80 winner (my first race), and as much as I love the earlier cars and enjoy building them, to be able to build the ones I saw as a kid would be great. I'd guess the feeling is the same for those who grew up watching those earlier cars.

I would be good for two - a Mears and an Unser.

I'm not fussing, ranting, or flaming! But a lot of kits have been on the way for quite some time. ;D
I am very interested in the Maserati CLT8 Russ posted a year or so ago, which was supposed to be on the way. Some of the later years winners, which have been rumored, would be nice as well.
But I also know just how busy with real life the guys doing the casting are. ;D

I talked to Bill J. Monday. He said the 82 & 83 were coming along more each month. The 91 was getting close to ready.
I haven't seen any of the three since I sent them back to Bill about 2 year ago. At that time the body on the Wildcat was about 80% done. The March was at about 30%. The 91 was at about 60%.

Its time for me to ask again.......Any news lately on the 81 or 82 winner? Because I started on a pc9 from scratch. If I feel I can get the job done I will start a WIP thread on it and share all the pics and dimensions with you guy's!

Lance Sellers Resin Cars told me that the master for the '81 winner is 75% done and the kit will be available for sale next spring. Cost is approx $75 to $90.
