Agree - those two I already have from Smer. Any suggestion on proper wheels and tires (or is it tyres) for these models? MJ

I used the tyres from the kits just adding the spoke wheels. For the Hasegawa Ferrari 250 Testa-Rossa there is an aftermarket set of spoked wheels so I asked round if someone had used them and had the original plastic wheels to spare. I got one set and used them for the Talbot but they were to large for the Alfa tyres so I had to come up with an alternative. I used two component silicone clay and pressed the Hasegawa wheels in it getting a simple mould. Using the mould I made new wheels of fine Miliput. It is rather soft and was easy to work afterwards so the wheels would fit the Alfa tyres. Not an perfect solution but better than the clear plastic discs in the kits. Some pictures of the work can be found here (but the language is Swedish) www.hobbybokhandeln.net/?p=3933

The kits in the Atlantis boxing are complete with SMER branded instructions and decals. You can get beautiful wire wheels and tires that are suitable from Fernando Pinto on eBay Fernando Pinto wheels on eBay

I have some of Fernando's wire wheels, they are awesome, hand laced and looking very realistic. I'd buy more of I had a project to put them on. His sizing info was hard for me to interpret, so I sent him a message and he supplied the precise wheels I needed for a Mercedes 300 SLR project.
BTW, thanks for the heads up on the kits and the builds of the 2 cars look awesome! I love the classic cars of that era, even before my time :-) and that was awhile ago!

Fernando Pinto's wires are only correct for pre-war open wheeled cars. For example his M-B W159 and the late-pre-war Hawk Mercedes. I got a set for the Hawk kit and they will look excellent.
