Another street race? I think oval tracks are going the way of the board tracks of the 20's

I have long maintained that you should not race anywhere that if you go back the next week, there's no track. I think it likely that the series is just chasing paychecks at this point, much like CART/Champcar did in it's waning days.

F1 in 2015?? Not one chance. I went to the '91 Phoenix GP and the venue was awful, the racing sucked, there was no crowd, and no way to even get close enough to see the cars in the garage, let alone the drivers. My buddy slept through most of the race.
The only up side is I get to say I saw Senna race.

I'll believe it when I see it. Sounds like wishful thinking and bold dreams. We can't even fill an air conditioned theater with viewers for Rush.

Did they clear it with Sheriff Aripaio? :-) He was going to ticket any car that exceeded the downtown speed limit when Champ Car was going to race there. (Event eventually cancelled.)

I think this was some automatically generated release that just gathers topics in a field and spits something out. Don't think anything serious here.
Sheriff Joe was concerned with sound for Champ Car race. 911 dispatch center was near track. That was cleared when they did their test. Race was cancelled because less than a thousand tickets were sold. Which was expected because this city (Phoenix) only gravitates to what's popular and cool or winning at the moment. Such as NASCAR or local teams when they're hot. When a losing streak starts forget it seats are empty. I hate the "fans" here!
