SWEET! Any chance the white metal parts for the Blue Crown could be available seperately? I have one of the BC bodies from Bill but would love to have the white metal parts.
(and the bsckground of the photos looks like resin heaven!)

Lance, I love to see your workbench. So much good work going on there. I interested in the picture of the 1982 Eagle Aircraft Flyer in the background of the Blue Crown car, that would be a cool one to see done in 1/25.... just saying Jordan

Personally I think it's even odder than the Yunick sidecar. And I know there are things in those baggies I would LOVE to have! Fantastic Lance, great stuff. MJ

To make louvers, I first carve a single louver. The louver is then glued to a piece of glass and a mold is poured over it. From this mold several louvers will be cast and glued onto the glass, in this case I have glued 8 louvers to the glass and molded them as a group, I can now cast 8 louvers at a time.

Yes I would very much like to do the Cropduster, infact, Oldphotos and I went to its last known location here in Indy only to find out it is now in Toledo. We have permission to measure it but I am not in the position to make a trip there to do so.

Also, the louver technique is a cool insight on the way to tackle a complex problem effectively. Jordan

Hey Lance. I live just outside of Toledo in Maumee. Toledo is just a hop, skip and a jump from Maumee. If I can help, I would be glad to do so. That is unless you mean Toledo, Spain... LOL

I've never seen or heard of that car until now. What year did it run? Driver? Designer? It's butt ugly, but very interesting.

John John, I do not know who designed it but I believe it was offically dubbed the American Eagle Flyer but nicknamed the "Cropduster". Sprint car and midget racer Ken Hamilton (father of IndyCar driver/owner Davey Hamilton) tried to qualify it at Indy in 1982. Davey's website says Ken tried qualifying for the '83 Indy 500 but I have not been able to verify that... I do not believe the car reappeared at IMS after 1982. Jordan

Lance, I knew Gene Wallingford (I think that's the right name - only 45 years ago) as a kid. He was a modeling/slot car legend. He designed the beautiful little 1/32 Monogram Lotus and Ferrari F1 cars. He was truly an artist, art degree and worked as a window designer for a large department store. Anyway, you remind me of him. I am amazed how you can look and something, and see the starting point and shapes and curves that the rest of us just can't. And then pour it so perfectly. Fantastic. Thanks Lance, MJ

I saw the nose of the Cropduster once. I was in Hemelgarn's back building on Gasoline Alley. At the time I had no idea what it was and when I inquired wasn't given much information. This was before it was easy to find everything on the internet.

After spending Sat. night and Sunday with the stomach flu, I finally felt well enough today to start boxing up the Kurtis's, also put some decals on the Rathman car.

I have several pieces that I will never get done into complete kits, so my plan is to offer them as bodies, tires, wings and windshields only. I plan to price them at $55.00, postage paid. At this time I am just trying to put some feelers out to see what the intrest might be. First up is the 1970-71 Eagle of Johnny Rutherford, this would include a body, nose, tail, tires and windscreen. Next up for your consideration is a 1963 Watson. This would include a body, oil tank, tires and wheels, and a winscreen. Last up is the 77 Parnelli chassis. This would include a body, Tires, wings and a windscreen. Let me know if you are intrested, I am needing atleast 30 orders per body to make this worthwhile.

Addionally, I have a few penskes left, I am also going to go ahead and offer the Etzel Watson in the 58-60 body styles as well ( decals will need to be ordered from Indycals ). If I can finish it in a reasonable time frame, I may offer it as the 56 winner as well.
