This is one of my favorites from the 40's, a front drive Miller that was reskinned and had an Offy put in it.

Just got this in resin, will now scribe the panel lines. Looks great! What is your method to scribing panel lines?

The top one is a Tamiya scriber and the bottom one is a razor saw by JLC.

OMGoodness, Lance. Where in the world is this car? Terrific that you got to see it and photograph and then to show all of us your super start on what will be a great model. Does anyone know the pre-war history of this car? Thanks so much. Jim

From chapter 31 of The Miller Dynasty this is one of three Cooper specials built for the 1927 500. They were copies of a Miller 91 FWD with slight differences including a beefier differential and having the exhaust and intake opposite the Miller. The original grille was flat fronted and shaped like a 1927 Buick's. The body was widened for the junk formula. The car was fitted with a Marmon V16 for 1933. For 1936 it was fitted with a long stroke Miller 220 four from the famous Poison Lil sprint car. The streamlined body was fitted for 1939. With that engine and body it qualified in 1940, 1941, 1946 and 1948.
