I had the luck to be able to purchase a 69 Eagle conversion kit by Lance Sellers. The car I was looking to make was the Eagle driven by Joe Leonard that finished in 6th place in 1969, it was a Smokey Yunick car in gold and black #44. I see that Indycals makes decals and I have a Ford Turbo engine already.
My big question will my conversion kit, that came with a Gurney/Weslake engine and body part for that, be converted to the Ford turbo powered car of Leonard? I have seen an excellent build of the car but not sure if the rear pods and the engine area were scratch built or was there a separate conversion kit for the Leonard Ford turbo car?
I really was looking to make one car with the turbo Ford and this one was going to be the one. I do not have another body for the turbo, like a Hawk. Doubt I could find one nowadays.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
