Just another WIP thread from "The Machine"  Sorry! I cant help myself once again....  I actually started on this one a long time ago.....I pull it out once in a while and do few things here and there, but I thought I should put a WIP for it. This is the recent Kurtis reissue with alwaysindy upgrade parts.   |

Calvin, what about your 1/12th scale 1980 Chapparal 2k ? Yeah, I still have it.....Its hard for me to work on my 2k models I get too worked up over them - I'm just too passionate about them!  The major modeling weakness of mine is working on my Chaparral 2k models....I get too much anxiety over them.  Yeah I know I have it bad. |

BTW I starting on this last year believe it or not.....I was really sick at that time, I really couldn't do anything but I did start on this 55 winner last year...I think it took me a full week just to glue on the resin parts and that's it, and I didn't even get them on correctly - I was just flat screwed up! LOL I'm still cleaning up my screw ups from then, that's why the vents are all screwed up - I didn't have anything lined up right last year, oh well I forgive myself - I was just trying my best.

Nice job! I just did a quickie build without accurizing the Monogram kit to do the Zink car using the Indycals decals.

For the first time I used Future floor wax on my car....I usually clear coat with lacquer but since this is a sensitive Krylon enamel paint job I had to take the safe route and use Future to shine and protect the decals. It came out fine. It was very simple just brush it on and it smooths out very well and hardens up in mins.....  |

What color did you use for the wheels and body trim? I never know if it's an off white or pure white since the numbers are white. We'll give you a mulligan on the wheels

I'm done with it! This one was destined from the get go to be a messy one....I left a lot on the table on this one, but I dont care I'm tired of it...I just wanted it out of the way. Its fair.    |

A lot of good in this one that don't give yourself credit for Calvin. Plus, a lot of us would never notice what you do unless you pointed it out... I know I'd have never caught the tire thing!
