I need some serious help on the disassemble of the Carousel 1 1984 Rick Mears car. I plan on doing the 84 Al Sr. car. Took out all the screws but there has to be something hiding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my own project. I have been wanting to do this car for a while. You can e-mail me also at bthieme22@gmail.com.

Having done several of these, I can help.
The first time i took one apart it took me 7 hours and I am not joking! Now I can have one apart without breaking anything in about 30 to 40 minutes. I will shoot you and email.
Stu

Probably forgetting the screw that's hiding behind the roll bar. Pop off the little round thingy & there is a screw down that hole. The monocoque is glued, so you have to pry it loose.

Does anyone has information if Replicarz maybe will continue with the Marches ? I mean they have the mold and I guess those models will be selling very well. I'm not sure about taking a 250$ Mears apart if I can get the ready build up Miller later for 169$... Just thinking...

Sent an email 15 months ago and got a reply that said 'perhaps' .....which is not really an answer

The Gordon Johncock STP and Tom Sneva are out now. $159 a piece. You can also buy separate wheels set combos. A ton on EBAY right now.

Current sales drive future production and if things go well, Replicarz is looking to do two more in 2014 - not at liberty to say, but I've already submitted artwork for one. You might see a tail cone in 2014. ;-)

Well, they made 599 of each. Why 599? LOL Why is everything in this world 99? .99, 99%, $9.99. or at gas stations $3.99 & 9 tenths of a penny.

Carousel did prototype the Michael Andretti car with the tail cone. They made 12 samples. There were various tail cones used on the car. Probably only one "factory" design but teams modified back when you could change a car to fit your whims.

Pop off the wheel nut whith your thumb nail & you'll see the screw.
