Calvin, What race was this...before... Well that's a pic from 1980 Watkins Glen....the fastest way to tell that its the 1980 2k is the #4, but also the sliding skirts were used at all tracks in 1980 besides Indy and Pocono. I have no idea what this pic is, looks like one wrecked Mclaren? |

BTW my favorite 2k is the 1980 Michigan 200 version. It had small thin wings and the rear end plates were different sizes.   |

I am pretty sure the wrecked car is Jacky Ickx's Ensign that he crashed heavily - as you can tell! - in the 1976 US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen. He hit the guardrail and the car was literally ripped in two and briefly caught fire. Luckily Jacky escaped with minor injuries.
