60 years ago one of the Greats of motor racing died. Tazio was a terrific and fierce competitor who was fearless with the big machinery of the 30's. He was diminutive sitting in the V16 Auto Unions, but threw that beast around with style. RIP Tazio.

Indeed! As a kid growing up I read everything I could on racing, particularly F1/Grand Prix. Nuvolari and Caracciola were my favorites, along with Dick Seamen, from that era. But especially Tazio. The Auto Unions had the engine in the right place, and were designed by the Professor, so I loved them. MJ
