The Sprint cars are trying to tell Smoke something. They do not realise that nobody has ever been able to tell him anything.

As an unabashed fan of sprint cars, I worry what effect this could have on how the sport is looked at. Smoke is one of the great supporters of open-wheel short track cars. I would think if his sponsors wanted to they could spin this to their advantage - Stewart the real racer won't give up what he loves.
I always thought Tony would be much happier just running sprints and midgets, but realized to afford to do it right (see Tony Stewart Racing) he needs to be in Nascar.
Just like the rest of us - we do our day job so we can afford to do what we really want.

MJ, I couldn't agree more with your assessment of Tony's passion for sprints and midgets. I'll bet if you asked any of the top drivers in NASCAR what was more fun, the grind of a NASCAR season or running the short tracks back home, most would say they had more fun racing before they got to NASCAR. It's easy to question Tony's judgement sometimes, but impossible to question his passion for racing.
