I added some more milliput - I'm trying make this nose look less stupid (I've been very mouthy today)....its kinda tricky to sculpt this nose out.

Calvin, when you get that nose right, how about making a mold so that the rest of us can build a correct 63-64 car. Michael, when can we order the tires? I need at least 3 sets. Take Care Craig

Take Care Craig I dont know.... I think I might try out the fine fokes at "What heck did I get myself into INC." Yeah I'll dip it into some rubber.

Take Care Craig The tires will be available for order whenever I get my shipment from Lance - I ordered 30 sets and he's just starting on them, so it might be a few weeks yet. I'm not doing a pre-order on them. Once those are gone, that is it... for now. The masters were accidentally destroyed and I have to order new masters - at least 2-3 weeks before I have them. They will come with Calvin's windscreens, either Watson or Lotus. I'll have pics of my Watson with the new tires and windscreen shortly.

I just got back from the Hobby Store, I got myself a jar of rubber for the nose! I was going to restock my clear 0.010" styrene but they were out of stock, darn it!

Next we need to get rid of that disgusting chrome! The fastest way is to use Easy off oven cleaner. Just takes a few sprays and its off in a matter of seconds. It took only 5 mins to do all this.

It's getting there, but nose is too rounded at the front

It's getting there, but nose is too rounded at the front Yep, you read my mind. Also (anyone feel free to chime in) do you think it needs to be kinda beefed up a little more? This nose is more tricky than I thought. But I'll keep on sculpting tel' its right.

I think I know why the top of the nose is not as flat as it should be - When I first glued this kit together I pushed the nose down and held it down while I glued it.(what I said prolly doesn't make sense but I'm very confident that's the problem.)
I just got done sculpting the tip of the nose to get rid of the roundness like what Michael said - it looks better, I'll takes some pics later after the primer is on.

In addition to the curve on the top that you highlighted in red, it curves up from the bottom more too.

More updates.....What do you guys think of this so far? I think its still missing that "sharp edge look" around the nose opening. ....I'll keep going tel' its right.....

Getting a lot better, but as you say, still needs that sharp leading edge.

I have to agree to that. The photo from the front shows the angle good.

Looking great, I learn so much from your WIP's. Thanks! Since people are benefiting from my WIPs (maybe?) and this is a greedy world I might have to start doing Pay Per View WIPs!
