You did a great job and I love the side by side. Really shows how Tameo did it right with each car having distinctive shapes, suspensions, wings, etc. Jordan Thanks everyone for looking. Just so you guys know, Tameo didn't make an '89 Lola in speedway trim. I had to make the front and rear wings along with the rear wheel tire ramps. I can tell you, I learned a ton more with the minor differences between the '88 and '89 Lola for when I make a more accurate '89 in 1/25 scale. Thanks again, Mike

I will always have a soft spot for the '89 "500", it was the race that the Papyrus Indy 500 computer game was based on...nice memories ! I had that on a floppy disk #showingmyage Jordan I loved Papyrus Indy! The things I learned were: 1. I can qualify really well on ovals. 2. I don't race nearly as well. 3 I sucked on the road courses. But what a great way to waste hours and hours. Oh, mine was on disk. :-) On topic re Emmo and Jr. cars. As Emmo always said: "The car was Fun-TAS-tic!" I can't even see a model that small! MJ

Those are great!! Love the extra work getting the drivers and diorama, too.
Any word of wisdom from building these two Tameos?

Wow that looks fantastic! Very nice show case!
If you ever decided to sell it on ebay I'm sure it would go for A LOT!

MJ Somewhere I've still got the Indycar 1 and 2 disks stashed away, but I don't have a system old enough to run them and my old Thrustmaster T-1 driving control is in pieces anyway. It took me a little bit to figure out some of the road courses. Long Beach in its original configuration was a BLAST to drive when you get the set up. Vancouver was a bit technical and Laguna Seca was always tricky for me. The one main feature of those programs I had the most fun with though were the paint kits as I did my own personal team's Indycar for 1 and 2. It was sponsored by Camel on the body (a nod to Senna), yet the sidepods were done in green and sponsored by BP. One of these days I hope to render my Indycar II version as an actual model. These 1/43 Tameo jewels in the diorama look great. Its one thing to see the cars by themselves. Quite another though to see the implied motion and knowing EXACTLY what you are seeing. Very nice work!

these cars look fantastic together, Emmo & Little Al were in a class of their own that day, if memory serves, Raul Boesel finished 3rd in the Domino's Pizza special, and he was six laps down on Emmo at the end. I will always have a soft spot for the '89 "500", it was the race that the Papyrus Indy 500 computer game was based on, and thats what got me into Indy, nice memories ! Michael Andretti was also very strong, leading the race til his engine blew on lap 159. Fun race tho. I was sitting in A Stand that day.
