Hi, Just a quick note to tell you about myself. I'm a 51 year old model builder. I started building when I was four years old, and haven't stopped since. First boats, then cars, then planes, then I discovered racing cars. Indy, F1 and sports cars, if it has wheels and wings, I like it! I found this message board at Indycals when looking for decals for a project. Right now I'm working on Eagles and McLarens, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Steve.

Welcome Steve, theres a good bunch of guys here and they've been a gold mine of historical and modeling info for me. What Eagles and McLarens are you working on (kits/scale)?

Hi Sandy, thanks for the welcome. The kits I'm working on are the AMT 1/25 scale cars. The McLarens are Johnny Rutherford's '74 & '76 race winning cars. I picked them up at the Toledo Toy Show a couple of years ago as bag kits. From the vender I went straight to Fred Cady's table and bought the decals. The Eagles are Bobby Unser's '75 winner , and for something really different the 1973 Sugaripe Prune Eagle, a scrap parts car. Steve

Welcome aboard....I know those old AMT kits well, it's what I cut my teeth on many moons ago. You can get some good things out of those kits. The McLaren's engine is all wrong, but fixable. As for the Eagle...get Jorgensen's conversion kit for it....Make life easier.
